 Duck Man

So, our hunt broker for muleys in Colorado decided to sell our tags to someone else, then wait until he got our money to call and say he did so. We lined everything up last season and even the rancher knew the plan. The saddest part is the MDF magazine rated it as the premiere unit for 2008. I know Colorado hunters are scrambling because of the kill in Gunnison Valley but this is poor business on the brokers part. Im almost certain the rancher has no idea of the brokers change, and honestly think the broker is making more off the hunters and cutting out the rancher on additional profit. This makes me so mad I cant think. Now Im scrambling to line something else at home here in Tx. Just venting, but Im curious to hear how everyone else feels. First time posting on MHR's forum.

So Duck Man,
just curious, he's going to give you a full refund right? If not, i would tell him you will file fraud charges and notify the rancher that he F'd up an is stealing!
I would be mad too. Last year the Dept. of Fish and Game for Oregon did something similar. We sent in our apps for a draw and they waited until after the end of the draw to notify everyone that they sold all the tags to an outfitter. did we want a refund or preference points?...I was so mad. We could have put our app for something else, but never-the-less..we had no choice. We opted for the preference points....but I will tell you...for the past 5 years we have the maximum preference points allowed and still no draw. So, can you tell me what good are they?
Anyhow, that sounds like a really bum deal. i do know someone who is a taxidermist and who has connections with outfitters in Colorado, so maybe he can help.
Life like taxidermy....559-289-4528. Good luck!
