Went opening day from legal to legal, and didn't see any, but heard one gobbler, who wouldn't responded to my call. Headed back into the woods this Thursday, hoping that after it warms up this week they'll start responding.

Any Illinois reports on scouting turkeys during this past month? Two weeks ago I saw a group of 3, getting dangerously close to the highway foraging for food, which means they're out and about and getting more active.
